Tiger Army to Support Morrissey in UK and on select US dates

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Tiger Army will support Morrissey this spring on four weeks of the iconic singer's UK tour and select US dates. Tiger Army will also perform a number of headlining shows in the Southwest as well as a week of gigs in the UK following the Morrissey dates.

"The fact that Morrissey's new music is as honest and powerful as it was when he began is an incredible inspiration to me," said Tiger Army's Nick 13. "I think when all is said and done, he will be regarded as one of the best of all time - an artist the caliber of Frank Sinatra."

The Tiger Army/ Morrissey correlation is a phenomenon long understood by fans of both acts and a relationship that was cemented when Morrissey spent his birthday watching Tiger Army in Hollywood over the summer, tapping his fingers to Tiger Army's cover of "The Loop." Both artists value song-craft, strike deep emotional chords in their fans, and share a strong following among those who embody Southern California's longtime love affair with roots rock'n' roll and punk.

Tiger Army will join Morrissey on his first UK tour in support of his new album in Manchester on May 8. From there, the band will play 15 shows with Morrissey until the conclusion of his tour in London on May 28.

All of the Morrissey shows in the UK are already sold out, however Tiger Army is planning a small handful of UK headlining dates, so stay tuned! Meanwhile, Tiger Army will play seven shows in March on US soil, including two dates with Morrissey. The headlining shows will take place in Scottsdale, Albuquerque, Englewood, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. The two Morrissey/ Tiger Army shows will happen in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

Tiger Army has been touring in support of III: Ghost Tigers Rise, the acclaimed album that has seen them on the road with Social Distortion and Rancid as well as on their own "Dark Romance Tour," which culminated with five sold out nights at the House Of Blues in Hollywood. More recently the band took a break from writing the followup to Ghost Tigers to play four sold out nights at the Anaheim House Of Blues and two shows in San Diego, where they debuted a new song, "LunaTone," which will make an appearance on their fourth album later this year. The album was called one of the 2006's "Most Anticipated" by Alternative Press.
