Tiger Army aligns with AFI fro West Coast dates!

Tiger Army has been tapped as direct support for the West Coast leg of AFI’s forthcoming tour. The shows, which will take place in September, are just the latest link in the Tiger Army/AFI chain, stretching back over a decade of shared members and brotherhood.

On the heels of tours with Morrissey, Social Distortion and Rancid, the band's own "Dark Romance" tour - which culminated with a sold-out five night stand at Hollywood's House Of Blues - and a more recent four-night stand at Anaheim's House Of Blues, these AFI shows will be the last Tiger Army appearances until after the recording of their new disc.

The new album will follow 2004's acclaimed Hellcat release, III: Ghost Tigers Rise. Alternative Press has called the forthcoming record one of the "most anticipated" in rock. L.A. Weekly proclaimed Tiger Army as, “a mishmash of some of the best music of the last 45 years, from Eddie Cochran to the Damned.”

AFI's connection with Tiger Army runs deep. Tiger Army's founder, Nick 13, played in the band Influence 13 with AFI's Jade Puget and the pair retain a strong friendship. Adam Carson, AFI's co-founding drummer, played drums on Tiger Army's self-titled debut. Davey Havok guested on II: Power Of Moonlite and Nick sings all over AFI's most recent album, Decemberunderground, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard chart in June.
