The Bobby Lees Sign To Epitaph Records, Share Liberating New Single “Napoleon”
Hailing from the iconic Woodstock, NY music scene, The Bobby Lees are proud to announce their latest move to Epitaph Records, joining a legendary roster that's hosted the likes of Rancid, Descendents, and Social Distortion. Pioneers of a gritty, unapologetic sound that's been fueling the fire of punk's underground resurgence, the band is set to unleash their most explosive work yet. To commemorate this pivotal moment, The Bobby Lees share their frenetic new song, "Napoleon.” Listen to it HERE.
A feral, hook-slashed anthem marked by the rapid-fire vocal delivery of singer/actress Sam Quartin, she explains: “This song is about wanting to change and no longer being interested in complaining about a problem or situation. It’s about trying to live in the solution.” Check out the accompanying performance video below:

Speaking on the occasion, Sam continues, “We’re very excited to partner with Epitaph. Everyone we’ve met who works there feels authentic and down for the cause. We’re psyched and very grateful to have found the right home at Epitaph Records.” Hinting at what's up next for the band, she proudly divulges, “Our new stuff comes from a more confident place than in the past. We’re excited to share this new music and hopefully it’s contagious and empowers people to go towards what inspires them.”
Iggy Pop, Keanu Reeves, Flea, Debbie Harry, Jason Momoa, Henry Rollins, Juliette Lewis, and even Tom Cruise… These legends are all fans, and many have been spotted at The Bobby Lees shows.
Their sound is raw, undeniable, and cuts through the bullshit of everyday life. Since forming in 2017 in Woodstock NY, the band has released three hard-hitting albums including 2020’s SKIN SUIT and 2022’s Bellevue. Committed to deepening and expanding their songwriting, each release sounds more honest, interesting, and bigger than before, having worked with producers David Sardy, Jon Spencer of the Blues Explosion, Alex Pasco, and Vance Powell.
Led by singer and guitarist Sam Quartin, drummer Macky Bowman and bassist Kendall Wind, The Bobby Lees are a live act that is second to none. Henry Rollins of Black Flag said “The Bobby Lees are wild and different. Dangerous music is good for you.” Mick Freely said “Something happens at their shows… A kind of black magic, A curious force of nature… A sacred experience that is desperately needed by humanity in these trying times we live in. Experience it for yourself.”
