Spin.com Premieres New Track From Frank Turner

As summer approaches, acclaimed young singer-songwriter Frank Turner emerges with new material as Spin.com premieres his new single "Peggy Sang The Blues." In anticipation of the June 7th Epitaph Records/Xtra Milerelease of his album England Keep My Bones, and after the leaked track "I Am Disappeared," the song, Turner's first proper new single and a rousing tribute to his spirited grandmother, has already become a live favourite. You can listen to the track at Spin.com href="http://www.spin.com/articles/exclusive-hot-brit-songwriter-frank-turner">here>.

This Wednesday April 27th, Frank Turner will be appearing on the popular New York public radio show "Soundcheck" on WNYC. The show airs at 2 pm and 10pm EST on 93.9 FM in New York City and on XM Satellite Radio Channel 133. For more info go to:

Recorded in Crouch End's stunning Church Studios, Frank, along with his band The Sleeping Souls and producer Tristan Ivemy, has with England Keep My Bones created a deeply moving and powerful album with the quintessential English sound Frank has been searching for.

Unsurprisingly, for an artist who spends most of his time traveling the world guitar in hand, England Keep My Bones has a nostalgic yearning feel to it - a musical homage to the homeland, friends and family Turner so often has to leave behind. Featuring contributions from ex-Hold Steady keyboardist Franz Nicolay, folk singers Emily Barker and Chris T-T, and Unbelievable Truth's Andy Yorke, the songs cover themes of mortality, relationships and religion in what is a both a courageous and immensely beautiful album.

As Turner explains, "I can't wait to get this record out there. The new songs have been going down really well live, but I think that when people hear the studio versions they're going to go nuts. I think it's the strongest set of material I've had on one record."

Frank Turner will be showcasing tracks from England Keep My Bones when he embarks on a short tour of intimate North American venues.
