Social Distortion Make Their TV Debut On Jimmy Kimmel Live December 6th

Southern California's iconic rock 'n' roll band Social Distortion will make their long-awaited television debut on December 6 with a performance of their new single, href="http://soundcloud.com/epitaph-records/social-distortion-machine-gun-blues">"Machine Gun Blues" from their forthcoming seventh studio album Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!."

"Machine Gun Blues," which debuted at #40 on Billboard's Alternative Songs Chart and is currently #27 on the Alternative Radio Chart, is featured on Social Distortion's first studio album in over six years, Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, that's set for release on January 18.

Named one of the href="http://www.spin.com/gallery/27-winter-albums-matter-most?page=8#main">"27 Winter Albums That Matter Most" by SPIN.com (watch an exclusive interview href="http://www.spin.com/articles/watch-social-ds-mike-ness-new-album">here>), Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes builds on singer Mike Ness' twin footings, one in the haunted American landscapes of Hank Williams and the other in the raw swagger of Exile-era Rolling Stones. While these twin pillars have always been behind Social Distortion's anthemic songs, on Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes they come roaring to the fore, in one of the hardest rocking, most soulful, albums of Ness' career. "Machine Gun Blues" is available for purchase now on href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/machine-gun-blues-single/id401564447">iTunes> and Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes is available for pre-order now at the official Social Distortion store.

Social Distortion recently wrapped up a headlining US tour where they unveiled tracks from the new album to packed venues across the country. The band also recently announced a 2011 West Coast tour which has already sold out multiple dates in Los Angeles and San Diego and have been confirmed for KROQ's infamous "Almost Acoustic Christmas" on December 11.

Catch Social Distortion's television debut on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," which airs on December 6 at 12:05 a.m. ET/PT on ABC and don't miss their West Coast homecoming tour in January/February.
