Joyce Manor Premieres New Track At Spin

Never Hungover Again is the rare sort of album that defines a young band. Across their previous two releases (a self-titled release and Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired), Joyce Manor discovered their signature sound. They take the speed and sense of melody of fellow South Bay band the Descendents, the artfully bittersweet lyricism of Jawbreaker and the undeniable heart-on-sleeve honesty of the first two Weezer albums.
The new album was recorded at the end of 2013 with producer Joe Reinhardt at the Lair in Hollywood and was mixed by Tony Hoffer (Supergrass, Belle and Sebastian, M83, and Phoenix). Never Hungover Again captures a complex feeling in 10 precise songs that is part sadness, part loneliness, and part anger even when things seem to be going okay. Grantland says the album is "perfect summer music" and that "the world needs this album now." According to Noisey, Never Hungover Again "will most definitely rule incalculably hard." With some of the saddest lyrics you'd ever shout along to from the front row, Never Hungover Again is heartbroken pop-punk perfection.
