Escape The Fate hit the road with 18 Visions!
Escape The Fate – the Las Vegas-based hard rock/screamo outfit fresh off its incendiary stint on the 2006 Warped Tour and a series of dates with Bullet for My Valentine – will embark on a West Coast trek next month with Eighteen Visions. In continued support of its strongly-received Epitaph debut album, Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, which dropped on September 26, the three week tour launches November 28th at The Clubhouse in Tempe, AZ.
ETF’s first long-player was recorded with Michael Baskette (Lit, Puddle of Mudd), who also helmed the group’s heralded debut EP, There Is No Sympathy For The Dead. Infused with a manic, passionate desire to wake people up, the songs on Dying Is Your Latest Fashion do just that. Evidenced by the earnest, angry “Webs I Weave,” declarative first single “Not Good Enough for Truth and Cliché” and the irresistably catchy “Reverse This Curse,” Escape The Fate – which also counts guitarist Omar, bassist Max, guitarist Bryan and drummer Robert – also reveals it’s willingness to take chances. From the unplugged touch of “Acoustic Song” to the electronica-inspired “My Apocalypse,” the young band exudes a depth absent from many of the bands currently populating the scene.
Critics across the globe agree. “Dying Is Your Latest Fashion has success written all over it,” proclaimed Punknews.org, while The Age wrote, “It's schizophrenic, sinister and unsettling – and totally thrilling.”
The band’s live shows take those depictions to the next level. ETF gigs are designed to leave an impression as outspoken frontman Ronnie insists. “I have a vision,” he says. “I want people to have fun, put their fists in the air.” And it’s that apparition of life as juke box heroes, coupled with explosive live shows built on a fusion of sincerity and intensity that has helped the group win over legions of fans this year.”
