OBEY THE BRAVE STREAM DEBUT ALBUM

(August 21st, 2012 – Los Angeles, CA) Obey The Brave, Canada’s most exhilarating, high - energy metalcore band are now streaming their Epitaph debut in full with plans to release their album, Young Blood on August 28th.

Fans can stream the album by going here: http://www.altpress.com/features/entry/album_premiere_obey_the_brave_young_blood

The new album contains eleven tracks of pure adrenaline – charged hardcore, sure to please both metal diehards and hardcore fans alike. Tracks like “Get Real,” which features Terror’s Scott Vogel on guest vocals, pay homage to ‘90s hardcore while peppering in more modern elements like massive metalcore breakdowns and an always-driving beat. “Time For A Change,” while still including hardcore staples like riotous gang vocals and another of the album’s brick-and-mortar breakdowns, showcases some smooth lead lines during its more melodic outro.

“Live and Learn,” the album’s first single, is a well-rounded representation of Obey The Brave’s bare bones, progressing from blistering double-kick blasts throughout its opening verse to some tasty breakdowns and another rather musical outro that adds an extra dimension to an otherwise relentless track.

“Imagine Shai Halud mainlining on creatine, steroids and black market testosterone and you have an idea of where this quintet are coming from. Thick and lethal guitar chug and vocals bordering on death-metal bellowing are off-set by spidery single-note melodies and catchy sequences.” – Alternative Press

Originating from Montreal and Ottawa, Canada, Obey The Brave is vocalist Alex Erian (ex-Despised Icon), bassist Miguel Lepage, guitarist John Campbell, guitarist Greg Wood and drummer Stevie Morotti. Fueled by passion and a strong DIY ethic, Obey The Brave are taking their high-energy live performance across country on the All Stars Tour this summer and will head to Europe this fall on the Never Say Die Tour.
PROPAGANDHI RELEASE SECOND SINGLE

Propagandhi have emerged from their underground bunker with new material as Lambgoat.com premieres their new single “Duplicate Keys Icaro (An Interim Report).” In anticipation of the September 4th Epitaph release Failed Sates and after the debut of the band’s first song and title track, the new single has already become a fan favorite.

Fans can listen to the new single by going to <a href= "http://www.lambgoat.com" Lambgoat.com or via soundcloud <a href+ "http://soundcloud.com/epitaph-records/12-duplicate-keys-icaro-an/s-czvKV"> here.

Failed States willfully careens between brazen metallic tendencies and the ragged punk rock roots of Propagandhi's earlier work, further raising the lyrical and musical bar set by their critically-acclaimed 2009 release, Supporting Cast(e).

“I would say Failed States is a little less ‘modern’ sounding than Supporting Cast(e) in terms of sonics, “ says Chris Hannah. “It’s probably a more accurate portrayal of what we sound like in our jam space....it sometimes feels like we haven’t had a record that genuinely sounds like us playing in a room together since the mid-90s. I felt more surprised—in a good sense— by Failed States when it was done than I did about Supporting Cast(e)."

The result is one of the band’s most forward thinking and musically varied albums to date. Failed Statess is not simply proof of Propagandhi's continued dedication to pushing their musical boundaries, but an evocative (and provocative) meditation on human nature, meaning and life under an expanding, planet-wide technocracy. Ranging from dynamic, progressive rock of “Note To Self” to the accelerated heaviness of “Duplicate Keys Icaro (An Interim Report)” and blazing thrash cuts like “Hadron Collision” and “Things I Like,” Propagandhi has created a truly monumental sixth album.

Fans can pre-order Failed States now at The Epitaph Store. Additionally, Propagandhi will kick off a North American tour in September with support from Comback Kid. Dates are listed below.

Stay tuned to www.propagandhi.com and www.epitaph.com to hear new music from Failed States and for news about Propagandhi!

Obey The Brave Sign To Epitaph

Canada’s most exciting, adrenaline-charged metalcore band Obey The Brave have officially signed to Epitaph Records with plans to release their album, Young Blood on August 28th. Starting today, fans can pre-order the album by going to the Epitaph Store.

In anticipation of the new record, the band have posted a video about the recent signing and have also posted an in-your-face video for their first track, “Get Real” that can be found by going to the Epitaph YouTube Channel.

"I remember listening to my Pennywise and Rancid cassettes back in high school and daydreaming endlessly about being in a band and touring the world," says lead vocalist Alex Erian. "If someone would have told me back then that I’d sign one day with the label that started it all, I would have never believed it. It feels unreal but my boys in OTB and I are definitely up to the challenge. We’re extremely honored to now be part of the Epitaph family and are looking forward to many years of pure fucking destruction together!"

Originating from Montreal and Ottawa, Canada, Obey The Brave is vocalist Alex Erian (ex-Despised Icon), bassist Miguel Lepage, guitarist John Campbell, guitarist Greg Wood and drummer Stevie Morotti. Fueled by passion and a strong DIY ethic, Obey The Brave formed in January 2012 and gained over 14,000 Facebook fans in their first two weeks of existence, all without releasing a single song. Armed with a music video for “Get Real” and a few more tricks up their sleeve, the OTB army is gearing up for a killer year.

Fans can check out the signing video by going here.
