The Menzingers Announce Headlining Tour

Scranton raised, Philadelphia based punk rock outfit The Menzingers have announced plans to take their rousing live show on the road for a series of headlining dates with four-piece American rock band Fake Problems, fellow Philadelphia outfit Restorations, and Captain, We’re Sinking. The headlining tour is set to begin Friday, May 24 in Philadelphia, PA and wrap Thursday, June 12 in Asbury Park, NJ. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at http://menzingers.soundrink.com/. Fans can purchase premium ticket bundles, which include; a limited edition screen-printed 18 x 24 poster, an exclusive digital EP, a coupon for 15% off for The Menzingers’ merch store, and a koozie.

On The Impossible Past was recorded at Atlas Studios with longtime collaborators Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms) and Justin Yates. On The Impossible Past was named 2012’s album of the year by Punknews, Rock Sound, Absolute Punk, and Property of Zack. The record retains all the raw vital energy of the band's earlier output, while adding some powerful new twists to the group’s sonic arsenal. Rousing punk rock band The Menzingers are set to release their much anticipated Epitaph Records debut album On The Impossible Past this February 21st. The Scranton Pennsylvania band has been creating a serious buzz with their rousing and heartfelt sound built on powerful guitars and inspiring working class lyrics.

On The Impossible Past was recorded at Atlas Studios with longtime collaborators Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms) and Justin Yates. The record retains all the raw vital energy of the band's earlier output, while adding some powerful new twists to the group’s sonic arsenal.

The group will be taking their absolutely stirring live show across the US in support of their new album. On the first leg of the tour the band will be joined by Midwestern rockers Cheap Girls and Ohio based outfit, The Sidekicks. For the second part, the Menzingers will do a handful of record release shows accompanied on select dates by Tiger's Jaw, The Front Bottoms, The Holy Mess and Luther.

The Menzingers Begin Tour With Rise Against

Up and coming punk rock band The Menzingers are premiering a brand new song from their forthcoming Febuary 21st debut, On The Impossible Past as they begin a new tour with Rise Against and A Day To Remember. The track “Gates” is a soulful mid tempo punk anthem filled with powerful guitars, poetic working class imagery and a ton of heart.

The Menzingers To Release New Album 'On The Impossible Past'

Rising punk rock band The Menzingers create a rousing sound featuring crashing power chords, rock steady drumming and anthemic sing-along choruses alongside powerfully poetic everyman lyrics. The group is set to release their Epitaph Records debut album On The Impossible Past this February 21st. Fans are invited to pre-order the album by going to The Menzingers Store.

On The Impossible Past was recorded at Atlas Studios in Chicago with longtime collaborators Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms) and Justin Yates. While the record retains all the raucous spirit of the band's earlier efforts sonically, it's a monumental step forward. "I think that 'Gates' is one of the most mature songs on the album," guitarist/vocalist Tom May explains, referencing the tender rock song sung by Barnett that truly transcends genres. "I hope it surprises people because it's not a straight-forward punk song with gang vocals or anything like that but it still definitely sounds like us."

It’s undoubtedly been an exciting time for The Menzingers, touring with acts like Against Me! and The Gaslight Anthem as well as playing their own headlining shows to enthusiastic audiences and the band wouldn't change it for the world. "I get a lot of personal emails that say something to the effect of 'my girlfriend broke up with me or my dad died and I listen to your music and it makes me feel really good' and that validates what we're doing and the time and effort we put into the new album," May summarizes. "When people hear the songs from On The Impossible Past, I just hope people can relate to it and it makes them feel the way we do when we sing it."

The Menzingers will be on tour with Rise Against starting January 17th and will release a 7 inch single for the track “The Obituaries” available here.
