YOU ME AT SIX DEBUT ALBUM JULY 21

UK’s Hottest Pop Rock Band You Me At Six To Release Debut Album Take Off Your Colours On July 21

June 2, 2009 – Los Angeles, CA – UK based pop-rock group You Me At Six will release their debut album, Take Off Your Colours, via Epitaph Records on July 21. Previously released in the UK, the album will be available for the first time in the US, just in time for the band’s run on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour.

Named one of Alternative Press magazine’s “100 Bands You Need To Know,” the Kerrang! cover boys have been building monumental traction since the release of Take Off Your Colours in the UK. You Me At Six’s revival of fun-loving, care-free, spirited pop-rock is infectious and spreads with each listen. Fans fall fast for both the band’s teen-relevant lyrics of heartache, bad breakups, and jealousy, and the non-stop rockfest of single-worthy sing-alongs like “Gossip,” “Save It For The Bedroom,” “Take Off Your Colours,” “If I Were In Your Shoes” and “Finders Keepers” (available exclusively on the re-release). Take Off Your Colours proves without a doubt You Me At Six has the ability to craft some of the catchiest pop-rock anthems in today’s music scene.

The re-release of Take Off Your Colours is only the beginning for You Me At Six. Following a slew of European festival dates including Rock Am Ring and Download Festival, the band will come to the US for the last three weeks of the Vans Warped Tour in August.
Epitaph Records is proud to announce the signing of one of the UK's hottest up-and-coming pop rock bands You Me At Six, with plans to release their debut album, Take Off Your Colours, this summer. The Kerrang! cover boys are already a house hold name and critical darlings in the UK, and consistently sell out venues across the country. Brace yourselves, because You Me At Six will be taking the scene by storm with upcoming performances at SXSW and this summer's Vans Warped Tour.

The Surrey based quintet You Me At Six started out just like any other, practicing in their families' garages and playing shows to their friends. Slowly building a fan base across the UK, thanks in part to social networking site MySpace, You Me At Six began touring the country, letting their fan base grow organically. Since 2007 the band has garnered over 8 million Myspace plays, two Kerrang! Nominations and toured with everyone from Fightstar to New Found Glory, The Audition, Angels & Airwaves and Fall Out Boy as well as numerous headlining tours and festival appearances.

Having all but conquered their homeland, You Me At Six have set their sights on the US and after signing with the legendary indie label Epitaph Records, the possibilities are endless.

"We're really excited to have signed with Epitaph as it's such a renowned label," says vocalist Josh Franceschi. "We're genuinely stoked for Take Off Your Colours to drop Stateside, and we're so happy it's with Epitaph."

Alternative Press named the band one of 2009's "100 Bands You Need To Know" and Kerrang! has called them "the UK's answer to Fall Out Boy." Check out one of the hottest bands coming out of the UK and stay tuned for additional tour dates and info about their exciting new album.
