New Found Glory To Appear On Guitar Center Sessions

Beloved melodic punk band New Found Glory will appear on the award-winning music series Guitar Center Sessions this Saturday, December 10th. The show features exclusive performances and enlightening conversations with artists conducted by renowned music director and KCRW disc jockey Nic Harcourt.

During the episode, NFG members Jordan Pundik, Chad Gilbert and Steve Klein talk to Harcourt about the punk roots of the band, signing to a major label as teenagers, how producers like Neal Avron and Mark Hoppus (Blink-182) bring the best out of them and why their current home at Epitaph-Records is “about family and building the band.”

“Not a lot of bands can say that they’ve had a successful career for fourteen years,” says Harcourt. “But thanks to a dedicated DIY spirit engrained in them since their teens, New Found Glory can. Their journey has taken them from the suburbs of Florida and self-released records to major labels to a return to punk rock roots with Epitaph. That’s the type of incredible musical journey we want to dig into on Guitar Center Sessions.”

During the episode, the band tears through a high-energy set that includes “Radiosurgery,” “Anthem for the Unwanted,” “Listen To Your Friends,” “Hit or Miss,” “Understatement” and “My Friends Over You.”

New Found Glory on The Guitar Center Sessions premieres Saturday, December 10th at 9pm ET/PT in 2D hi-definition on DIRECTV’S Audience Network (channel 239) and in 3D on DIRECTV’S n3D™ powered by Panasonic.

New Found Glory is also slated to appear at this year’s annual “Acoustic Christmas” hosted by Southern California radio powerhouse KROQ. The star packed event will occur December 10th at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles and feature additional performances by legendary rock and rollers Social Distortion, Blink 182, Incubus and many more.
Pop Punk's Not Dead As New Found Glory Releases 'Radiosurgery'

The new album contains all the ingredients of New Found Glory’s signature sound with massive guitar hooks and supremely catchy sing-along choruses. The band was aided by producer Neal Avron (Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park) for their latest release and while the resulting songs sound undeniably like New Found Glory, they also have a timeless punk feel that will appeal to both diehard fans as well as new converts.

“This album is a culmination of all of our albums put together and in a lot of ways we feel like a new band when we’re playing these songs because they’re so energized and they affirm the fact that we’re going to be a band for a long time,” summarizes guitarist Steve Klein. “In a lot of ways it feels like we’re just getting started.”
New Found Glory Premiere "Radiosurgery" Video

In anticipation of the October 4th release of their new album, Radiosurgery, beloved pop punkers New Found Glory are unleashing a new video for the record’s title track. The video clip for “Radiosurgery” is a hilarious, high-energy homage to the classic Ramones’ video for “I Wanna Be Sedated.” The video features New Found Glory performing their song in an unremarkable hallway as an increasingly Felliniesque parade of riff raff, including celebrities, politicians and strippers, commit acts of joyful debauchery around the seemingly unaffected band.

Check out New Found Glory’s new video here.

Radiosurgery is a fresh take on the melodic and highly energetic musical trajectory that New Found Glory embraces, while also paying tribute to the bands that inspired them to first pick up their instruments as teenagers. The band was aided by producer Neal Avron, who worked on New Found Glory’s 2002 album Sticks and Stones and 2004 album Catalyst (both certified Gold Albums), as well with artists such as Fall Out Boy and Linkin Park. The new record’s sound possesses the signature New Found Glory mix of guitar fueled pop hooks and rousing vocal choruses that are sure to appeal to both diehard fans and new converts alike.

In support of Radiosurgery, the band will headline the Pop Punks Not Dead Tour across North America along with Set Your Goals, The Wonder Years, Man Overboard and This Time Next Year, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink. Fans can purchase tickets by going to: http://www.newfoundglory.com/shows and are invited to pre-order Radiosurgery by going to the Epitaph Store.
New Found Glory To Release New Album 'Radiosurgery' October 4th

The anticipated new album Radiosurgery from pop punk heroes New Found Glory is set to arrive in stores October 4th via Epitaph Records. Fans can preorder the album now by going to the Epitaph Store.

The first single from the album, title track “Radiosurgery” is currently available for download at iTunes.

The album Radiosurgery continues the band’s high energy musical journey while simultaneously paying homage to the bands that inspired them to first pick up instruments as teenagers back in Coral Springs Florida.

“Our music is constantly evolving and changing and when this band puts out an album we always try to offer something different,” explains guitarist Chad Gilbert. “With this disc we wanted to go back to the music that got us into punk and incorporate influences from those albums.”

For this latest venture, New Found Glory was aided by a trusted producer Neal Avron, who worked with the band on Catalyst in 2004, and has honed his chops in the interim with artists like Fall Out Boy and Linkin Park. The resulting songs sound undeniably like New Found Glory but they also have a timeless punk feel that will appeal to both diehard fans as well as new converts.
