Story Of The Year Give Back To St. Louis Fans With 'Page Avenue' Performance

Alternative rock band Story of the Year have announced plans to perform their classic, breakthrough album, Page Avenue, in its entirety at a special, one-night-only, show on February 4 at The Pageant in St. Louis as a thank you to hometown fans for their loyal support throughout the years. Tickets go onsale December 17 at Ticketmaster.

“It's been a long, long road,” says guitarist Ryan Phillips. “Story of the Year has been our life, our family, our everything for ten crazy years. Years of laughter, tears, joy, and pain, but above all, years of humbling appreciation for this amazing life we have been able to live. We've seen the world, we've lived the life. We wanted to do a special show, here in our hometown of St Louis, MO for all of our amazing fans that have stuck with us through thick and thin. Page Avenue is the album that started it all for us. It is the album that defined our sound and layed the foundation for the house we've been building for a decade. We thought it would be awesome to play the entire Page Avenue album, start to finish, this one time only as a special thank you to everyone. On top of that, throw in some fan favorites from all of our albums. It's going to be a very special night for all in attendance.”

Formed in 2000, Story of the Year released their debut album, Page Avenue, in 2003, which features the massive rock radio hits “Until the Day I Die” and “Anthem of Our Dying Day.” Propelled by substantial radio play, the album catapulted the band into mainstream rock and selling north of 877,000 copies to date in the US alone. The band went on to tour with bands like Linkin Park and Hoobastank before releasing their sophomore album In the Wake of Determination in 2005 which also garnered the band heavy airplay. After two releases with Maverick Records Story of the Year signed with Epitaph Records and released The Black Swan, featuring the hit single “Wake Up,” in 2008. Critics and fans of the band’s signature melodies driven by huge metal infused riffs found the album to be a return to form. After a summer on the Vans Warped Tour and worldwide touring, Story of the Year returned to the studio to record The Constant, released in February 2010. The band followed the release with a headlining US with Maylene & The Sons of Disaster, After Midnight Project and Monty Are I in the spring and a recently wrapped fall tour with Flyleaf.

Story of the Year Debut New Video For "I'm Alive"

Anthemic rock band Story of the Year makes their monumental return to the forefront of music with a chilling and atmospheric new music video for the new single "I'm Alive" from their fourth studio album The Constant, which was released on February 16. Set in the woods of Nashville, TN, the video follows the injured singer Dan Marsala as he makes his transformation into the undead while the band's hook-filled radio made rock sing-along plays. And make sure to watch for the video's startling ending.

Story of the Year will kick off their first tour in support of The Constant on February 19 and will tour the southern US which includes performances at Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival in Las Vegas and Bamboozle Left in Anaheim.

Electrifying St. Louis rock band Story of the Year have announced a headlining US spring tour with Maylene & The Sons of Disaster, After Midnight Project and Monty Are I in support of their forthcoming album, The Constant, which is due out on February 16 via Epitaph Records. Story of the Year and Epitaph Records are proud once again to team with St. Louis favorites 105.7 The Point, Vintage Vinyl, and The Pageant Theater in launching the new album, The Constant. Starting on the February 16th release date (and for fans who preorder The Constant), customers who purchase the new CD at Vintage Vinyl will have the chance to buy a ticket for an exclusive March 4th Story of the Year show at The Pageant for just $1.05 more. After a decade of world-wide touring, charting singles and three fan-cherished albums selling over a million copies to date, St. Louis' hardest rocking band, Story of the Year have returned with an explosive new album, The Constant, which is set for release on February 16 via Epitaph Records. Spending a better part of 2009 at home, Story of the Year focused on stripping the excesses, getting back to basics and re-energizing the music that initially brought them together, before hitting the studio with producer Elvis Baskette (Chevelle, Cold, Escape The Fate) for their fourth studio album and follow-up to 2008's The Black Swan. Holed up in a secluded studio, the band proceeded to craft some of the best music of their career.

"This was the fastest recording and writing experience for us ever and it was cool because we didn't overthink everything," explains the band's vocalist Dan Marsala-who alongside guitarists Ryan Phillips and Philip Sneed, bassist Adam "The Skull" Russell and drummer Josh Willis make up Story Of The Year. "Writing and recording The Black Swan was a long, grueling process and this time we wanted to do the opposite: just have fun, be spontaneous and make it exciting-and it worked out better," he continues. "Everyone is so happy with the end product and it was a great time."
