A follow up to their wildly successful video "Dark Days" which has over 3.6 million views and precludes the new video, "Wild Eyes" depicts the dismal future of the world in a post-apocalyptic live show setting.

Check out the video for "Wild Eyes" here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuG4-lewUTs

Gordon goes on to say, "the lyrical concept of 'Wild Eyes' deals with inevitable the end of the world and the impact of our actions so we ran with that idea pretty literally, taking inspiration from post apocalyptic images portrayed through films over the years.
PARKWAY DRIVE UNLEASH "OLD GHOST / NEW REGRETS"

Worldly Band Takes on the Global Issues with Atlas

Global metal phenoms Parkway Drive have just unleashed a brand new track from their soon to be released, spellbinding fourth album, Atlas out October 30th via Epitaph Records. The new track titled “Old Ghost / New Regrets” takes listeners on the epic journey of life and death of the world today, complimenting the overall darker album theme that centers around the state of the Earth as we know it. Fans are invited to pre-order the album by going to the Epitaph Store.

"Old Ghost / New Regrets" can be streamed by going here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4rvMrmX0sI&feature=youtu.be

Parkway Drive have retained the classic elements of their magnificently heavy sound while broadening their horizons with new textures and dynamics. Lyrically, the band has turned a page in what is considered to be their most in - depth and advanced album to date. Front-man Winston McCall draws from the bands experience as one of the most heavily traveled acts on the planet, reaching remote destinations far beyond the everyday touring locations such as Calcutta and Bali, Indonesia.

"The album was written at a time the band was travelling very extensively which had a major effect on the lyrics," says McCall. "While there is no overarching theme, the songs resonate with the travels we as a band have made, and the effects they have had. This has lead to some of the harshest, and also some of the most personal lyrical content that we've ever put to music. In every way, this record has been shaped by the experiences that shaped us a people."

Commenting on the delicate landscape of the Earth’s current environment in “Old Ghost / New Regrets,” McCall growls, “Precious heritage laid waste before the chainsaws snarling teeth, bleed the Earth, bleed her ‘til her heart no longer beats,” between the ever so heavy metal riffs and bone-crushing drum fills that will not only have fans listening intently to the intricate and technical elements of the song, but will also have hardcore devotees and metal maniacs running to the pit.

McCall continues, "This record means the world to us. Never as a band, and as people, have we put more effort and thought into creating music. There is more of us in this record than anything before. The experiences that it took to create over the years were once in a lifetime. Ten years down the track, this is the Parkway you know, but we've decided to step it up."

The new record is positioned to be the most highly anticipated heavy album of the year and follows 2010’s phenomenally successful Deep Blue, which debuted #39 in the US on the Billboard 200, #2 in Australia, as well as reaching solid Gold and winning the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock and Metal Album and has since built steadfast momentum as a result of a groundswell of fan support in the US. Building on a record that was regarded as “not just a landmark album for themselves, [but] a milestone album for modern metal, (Metal Hammer),” Atlas cements Parkway Drive ‘s fourth album as their “hands down best yet and it’s also their most ambitious (Outburn).”

Parkway Drive's Recent Travelogue:
Parkway Drive Announce New Album, ATLAS

Australian metal masters, Parkway Drive are poised for world domination as one of the most significant purveyors of heavy music on Earth with their enthralling fourth album, Atlas, which is ready for release via Epitaph Records on October 30th along with a deluxe package that includes the “Home Is For The Heartless" DVD, a unique travelogue that follows the band’s adventures touring to many obscure destinations including Colombia, China and India. The announcement comes as the band unleashes a brand new video for the debut track “Dark Days” which can be found by going here: http://youtu.be/_7lpftvYDMA

Yet another creative leap forward for the chart-topping Australian band, Atlas boasts some of the most up front and confrontational material Parkway Drive has ever released, while at the same time taking several unexpected turns into lush sonic terrain, redefining their trademark sound while reinforcing their position as leaders in their field.

Recorded in Los Angeles with esteemed producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed, etc.), the soon-to-be-released Atlas sets the standard in musical progression by pushing musical boundaries and drawing from a wider scope of influence. From heavy, technically advanced riffs and rapid fire blast beats, to haunting death growls combined with fervent vocals and symphonic melodies, Atlas’s ferocious mix of metal and hardcore reaches new horizons with songs such as “Dark Days,” “Old Ghost / New Regrets” and “The River,” all of which will have fans careening straight for the circle pit.

“Everything has been enhanced,” says PARKWAY vocalist Winston McCall. “People don’t have to kiss the old parts goodbye. When you think of change, you think of things being taken away, but there’s not a case here where anything has been taken away. This is just more on top.”

Building on a record that was regarded as “not just a landmark album for themselves, [but] a milestone album for modern metal, ( Metal Hammer),” Atlas cements Parkway Drive as the world’s most hardcore musical superpower.

"Atlas is a culmination of ten years," says McCall. "Ten years of Parkway Drive, ten years of travel, ten years of being alive and watching our world spiral out of control. We're not holding anything back, we're not pulling any punches, and this world deserves nothing less."

"The Home is for the Heartless" DVD has already reached platinum status in Australia and is only available in the US via the deluxe package. According to McCall, the DVD gives an additional insight into the album’s lyrical themes, which are closely related to exploration and discovery.

“Reading the lyrics to Atlas after watching the DVD... I think you will have more of a sense of where we are coming from,” McCall reveals. “The album is called Atlas because it’s a combination of the travelling we’ve done over the past year, while also playing on the idea of Atlas, who carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.”

When asked if he feels as though he and the band are anything like the mythological Greek titan, bearing the weight of the world on their shoulders, McCall replies: “I think everybody feels that way at one time or another. It’s a heavy place to live, and it’s a heavy time to be alive. Some people watch the DVD and go, ‘Man, it makes me jealous of your life.’ But I think with every expanse of your horizon, you go into another bubble of society where you are able to see that others in the world aren't doing so good. It’s one of those things...the more your horizon expands, the more negative things you see. For that reason there is a lot of stuff on this record that is more confrontational than anything we’ve written in the past.”

Parkway Drive are currently bunkered down in a Los Angeles studio hard at work on their fourth album. The as-yet-untitled effort is the follow-up to 2010’s phenomenally successful Deep Blue, which debuted #39 in the US on the Billboard 200, #2 in Australia, as well as reaching solid Gold and winning the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock and Metal Album. Parkway Drive have also just released a visual stunning Blu-Ray tour DVD "Home Is For The Heartless," that can be found by going to the Epitaph Store.
Parkway Drive vocalist Winston McCall says new material flowed easily in the wake of Deep Blue, which saw the group tap a rich vein of creativity.

“When we finished Deep Blue I was like, ‘I don’t know where we go from here?’ But if there was ever a way to step up from the last record, this is the way to do it,” McCall says. “We’re expanding in every way we can. But at the same time – and I say this with every new record – it still sounds like Parkway.”

The band's new DVD was shot in 42 countries on 5 continents. The 75-minute “Home Is For The Heartless” DVD is both a rare travelogue and an in-depth look at Parkway Drive on stage and off. In addition to footage of some of the craziest shows the band has ever played, it also captures some of their greatest adventures and most poignant shared moments. Traveling to many obscure destinations, including some third-world cities that had never been visited by an international heavy band, Parkway Drive embrace the local peoples and cultures as a vital part of their experience.
Parkway Drive Release New Video For "Unrest"

Australian hardcore heroes Parkway Drive are about to unleash an exhilarating sonic assault upon the kids of North America. The festivities begins with the premiere of the band’s new video for their magnificently brutal song “Unrest” which features the energetic five piece from Byron Bay delivering their ferocious metal mayhem in front of a massive churning stage diving crowd. The whole affair reaches a sonic and visual crescendo when Parkway Drive dispenses one of the heaviest breakdowns imaginable.

The song "Unrest" is from the band’s latest metal-core masterpiece Deep Blue, of which the Winnipeg Sun awarded three and a half stars and remarked, “Surrender and worship are your only two options.”

In late August, Parkway Drive will embark on what is undoubtedly heaviest tour of year, when they join rising English metal stars Bring Me The Horizon, fellow Brits While She Sleeps, Aussie hardcore punks Deez Nuts and UK metal outfit Architects, for nights of ferocious cutting edge new metal.

Critical Praise for Parkway Drive’s Deep Blue:

"Never less than utterly crushing" - Alternative Press

"Combines the emotional textures of Isis, the brute force of Viking metal and hardcore, and some symphonic elements thrown in for good measure" - Decibel

"Displaying a far greater mastery of dynamics than ever before the band whips, snarls, and charges their way through 13 tracks, every one of them designed to break you" - Outburn
