PARKWAY DRIVE CONFIRM JANUARY TOUR WITH KILLSWITCH ENGAGE

Australia's top metal/hardcore act Parkway Drive will launch a US excursion in January with Killswitch Engage, Every Time I Die and Dillinger Escape Plan. Hailing from the quaint town of Byron Bay, the group is making waves across the world with their monstrous sophomore album, Horizons, which debuted at #1 on the Australian Artist Chart.

"Parkway Drive don't sacrifice heaviness in order to appeal to a wider audience - they simply make heaviness more appealing." - Rolling Stone (Australia)

Produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz (Underoath, Every Time I Die), Horizons spawns a frenetic avalanche of sound with grinding math riffs, palpitating blast beats and haunting death growls. From the blistering machine gun blasts of their hit song "Boneyards" to the sledgehammer riffs of "Carrion," Horizons takes the prize as the most cataclysmic metalcore album of 2007.

"If You're looking for exquisitely executed, technically awesome, frantic noodlage paired with chuggy guitars, sprinting drums and demon hellspawn vocals, this is one for you." Kerrang! (UK)

The Aussie natives slayed fans over the summer with a run on the Van's Warped Tour and marched on Europe with Comeback Kid and Cancer Bats this past fall. Now Parkway Drive is returning to cause chaos again. Fair warning, this isn't your brother's metal!

Parkway Drive Tour Dates: (w/Killswitch Engage, Every Time I Die & Dillinger Escape Plan)
1/10 - Washington, DC - 9:30 Club
1/11 - Pittsburgh, PA - Club Zoo
Parkway Drive's HORIZONS tops the charts!

Parkway Drive's brand new album "Horizons" has debuted at #6 on the ARIA chart , #1 on the Australian Artist chart and # 1 on the Independent chart, this being the highest placed ARIA position for any Resist artist and also for Parkway Drive.

Hailed as one of Kerrang! Magazine's hot new bands to watch in 2007, the year has been the bands most successful to date. Commencing the year with an appearance at Brisbane and Sydney's Soundwave Festival, before crisscrossing North America, Europe and Japan, a 31-date stint on the 2007 US Vans Warped Tour being just one of the many highlights.

To coincide with the release of Horizons, the band hit the road for what was their first Australian tour this year, resulting with all shows on the tour selling out.

This November the band will return to Europe as part of the "Never Say Die" tour along with Comeback Kid, Cancer Bats, The Warriors and This Is Hell.

"Parkway Drive are back and upping the metal ante with Horizons, which to tell you the truth, simply slays from the get go and refuses to let up, not even momentarily" - 10/10 Blunt Magazine

"Parkway Drive don't sacrifice heaviness in order to appeal to a wider audience - they simply make heaviness more appealing" - Rolling Stone Magazine

"Every so often a metal album comes out that in decades to come will be held up as a classic from that era. There was Master Of Puppets by Metallica, Vulgar Display Of Power by Pantera, Reign In Blood by Slayer, Burn My Eyes by Machine Head and now, in 2007, add Horizions by Parkway Drive to that list as this is an album that will not only set the benchmark for metal albums to come, it will also turn Parkway Drive, quite rightfully, into one of the biggest metal bands on the planet." - www.planet-loud.com

Parkway Drive album, HORIZONS, out today!

Australia's masters of metalcore, Parkway Drive have a new album, Horizons, out today. Produced by Killswitch Engage's Adam Dutkiewicz (Underoath, Autumn to Ashes, Every Time I Die) and recorded at Zing Studios in Boston, Horizons awakens the inner-beast with an enthralling avalanche of sound. From grinding math riffs and palpitating blast beats to haunting death growls, Horizons' brutal mix of metal and hardcore excels with songs such as "Carrion" and "Breaking Point," which are enough to have anyone running for the circle pit.

"Horizons marks two years of refinement since our last release. The songs, the sounds, the speed, the heaviness and the production has all been stepped up," says vocalist Winston McCall. "Working with Adam again made our job super easy as well as highly enjoyable. I think the end result is by far the best record we've made so far, but I guess that's always for others to judge."

Purchase It On iTunes:
Parkway Drive unlease plans for new album and tour

Aussie metalcore regime Parkway Drive has announced that they are heading to the studio in May to record their follow-up to 2005's Killing With A Smile. Teaming up again with their producer-in-crime, Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, the band will record at Zing Studios in Boston.

Combining elements of hardcore, death and math-metal, Parkway Drive plan to punish fans with their cyclonic rhythms, intricate dexterity and ire filled vocals for a sonic whirlwind of bone-crushing brutality that will hijack your stereo for one of the greatest pit-inducing records of the year.

Fans can expect a heavier, faster and more precise album than Killing With A Smile, proclaims frontman Winston McCall. The new songs mark two years of intense touring, refinement and experience. The songs we are writing are the next step for us. We're simply putting them out there for people to make of them what they will, but rest assured as far as we are concerned this is the album we have always wanted to write.

With their killer new album, Killing With A Smile, set to drop on THIS Tuesday, the band has landed at #1 on the listener charts at Purevolume.com! This is a big achievement for the band as this is their first proper release here in the U.S. Check out their Purevolume.com page for yourself at this link!

The band has also been on the road for a short stint with label-mates Vanna, but keep checking back on their official Epitaph Artist Page as new dates may be just around the corner.
