Parkway Drive to Release The DVD of the Year on Sept 22

Australia’s hottest metal band Parkway Drive will release a 90-minute documentary film entitled THE DVD on Sept 22. The film follows the boisterous quintet from humble beginnings on the beaches of Byron Bay to storming stages all over the world. Part documentary, part extreme-sports video, part live footage.....all metal!

Directed and edited by the band, THE DVD is both a travelogue of their adventures and an inspiring chronicle of their ascendancy. Packed with live and behind-the-scenes content, it features interviews with all five members as well as many of the key players crucial to their success. As an added bonus, THE DVD will also feature a full live set shot at Sydney’s Roundhouse in 2008 and a copy of the band’s 2007 breakthrough album Horizons.

With THE DVD due in stores on Sept 22, Parkway Drive are set to embark on a month long tour of the US with A Day To Remember, beginning Sept 27. Parkway Drive is currently writing the follow-up to the critically heralded Horizons, to be released in 2010.

Austrailia's Top Metal/Hardcore Band Parkway Drive Returns to the US for a Headlining Tour and Bamboozle

America, brace yourself as the masters of Aussie metalcore Parkway Drive make their triumphant return for a blistering headlining spring tour and performances at Bamboozle and Bamboozle Left in support of the band's brutish sophomore album Horizons. The band recently wrapped up the Thrash & Burn Tour as well as an excursion with Killswitch Engage, Every Time I Die and Dillinger Escape Plan and due to overwhelming demand, they return to rip the pit this spring.

Parkway Drive first stormed the US metalcore scene in 2006 with their debut album Killing with a Smile, which was followed shortly-thereafter by 2007's critically heralded release Horizons. "Strictly all-meat-no-filler metalcore" (All Music Guide), Horizons spawns a frenetic avalanche of sound with grinding math riffs, palpitating blast beats and haunting death growls. Parkway Drive's brand new album "Horizons" has debuted at #6 on the ARIA chart , #1 on the Australian Artist chart and # 1 on the Independent chart, this being the highest placed ARIA position for any Resist artist and also for Parkway Drive.

Hailed as one of Kerrang! Magazine's hot new bands to watch in 2007, the year has been the bands most successful to date. Commencing the year with an appearance at Brisbane and Sydney's Soundwave Festival, before crisscrossing North America, Europe and Japan, a 31-date stint on the 2007 US Vans Warped Tour being just one of the many highlights.
