Escape the Fate/Buzznet Digital Experiment an Unprecedented Success
"I Thought it Might Take a Week, but it Took Less than 36 Hours"

Unexpected, gratifying and momentarily frustrating to some, the promotion that asked fans to gather 50,000 people on Escape the Fate's Buzznet page had such an overwhelming response in its final minutes, it managed to crash the big servers of the social networking giant that was hosting the promotion. While it may have only been for 15 minutes, that was a long 15 minutes to fans who had been parked on the page for more than a day, waiting to hear a new song from their favorite band.

Launched on September 2nd, the digital social experiment challenged Escape the Fate's core fans to cooperate with one another by gathering 50,000 people on the band's Buzznet page. When that number was reached, it would "unlock" a long awaited, brand-new song from the band's upcoming sophomore release This War Is Ours, out October 21 on Epitaph Records. Over the next 30 hours, determined fans posted bulletins on other social networking sites, made desperate pleas on YouTube and commandeered their parents' and sibling' computers and managed to gather their legions so quickly everyone was taken by surprise.

"I thought the promotion might run for a week or 10 days as word got out," says Jason Fisher, Epitaph's Director of New Media and the creator of the project. "I figured kids would log on after school and we'd see an increase every afternoon. I never expected them to unlock the song in a day and a half. Originally, I thought we could set the number of people at 25,000 and that would be a challenge."

In the 30 hours the Escape the Fate promotion ran, it had nearly a million page views, generated 16,000+ comments and gathered well over 50,000 fans. The ensuing buzz caused the band to jump up the music charts on Myspace, landing them in the rarified Top 20.

Lesson learned? Never underestimate the determination of an Escape the Fate fan. "I thought it might take a week," Fisher concludes, "but it took less than 36 hours."

Las Vegas Rockers Enter The Studio To Record With New Singer

With an uncanny ability to always land on their feet, notorious Vegas rock group Escape the Fate have begun writing and recording with a spectacular new singer and a superstar producer. With John Feldmann (the Used, Story of the Year) lending his talents as both producer and songwriter, and with the addition of singer Craig Mabbit, formerly of Bless the Fall, Escape the Fate are on track to make an even more amazing record than their stellar 2006 debut.

Following the departure of singer Ronnie Radke in early 2008, the band performed a handful of shows with Mabbit, and the personal and creative connection was immediate. A fan of both ETF and Mabbit, Feldmann was the natural choice to produce, and in April, Escape the Fate began recording the follow-up to 2006's Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, which featured the massive hit song "Situations." "People are going to be blown away and definitely surprised when they hear Craig's vocals mixed with Escape's diverse sound," explains bassist Max Green. "This is the next generation of rock." The yet-untitled record is tentatively scheduled for a fall release.

"I'm excited to have the opportunity to continue making music with a group of amazing people," says Mabbit. "I'm loving what's coming out of us in the studio right now and things couldn't be going better. Escape the Fate is taking over the world, so buckle your seatbelts ‘cause we're here to stay."

After Radke's dramatic departure, wild speculation spread across the internet regarding the future of Escape the Fate and direction the band would take if they were to continue on. However, fans can breathe a sigh of relief: the turmoil has left the band even more determined and fired up. "We've been through a lot of shit this last year, and we took all that anger, frustration and sadness and molded it into an album with huge rock choruses, in your face riffs and melodies, and drums that will give your parents a heart attack," explains Green. "This new album isn't going to be a hardcore metal album and it's not going to be a soft melodic album, we are who we are, we are Escape the Fate."

Runaway Hit "Situations" Surpasses One Million Views

(Los Angeles) 26 November - Las Vegas quartet Escape the Fate's provocative new video for their wildly popular single "Situations" continues to blow up YouTube, reaching the one million views milestone over the weekend. On the day of the video's release last month "Situations" quickly seized the #1 Most Viewed spot on the YouTube's chart and since then has continued to be viewed thousands of times each day.

"Situations," a cheeky homage to Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher," is off Escape the Fate's full-length Epitaph debut Dying is Your Latest Fashion, which came out last fall to huge fan response, charting in the Top 20 of both the Top Independent Albums and Billboard Heatseekers charts.

In the past year, Escape the Fate have continued to build on that incredible fan base with a famously electrifying live show and virtually non-stop touring, headlining such tours as the Van's Warped Tour, Hot Topic's Black on Black tour and the 2007 Epitaph Tour.

Escape the Fate has landed the #1 Most Viewed Music Video on YouTube and is headed towards 200,000+ views in 24 hours with their provocative new video for "Situations."

(Los Angeles, CA) Skyrocketed by the sudden success of Escape the Fate's hit video "Situations," a modern take on the classic Van Halen video, "Hot for Teacher" the Epitaph YouTube channel is the 10th most viewed today, according to the YouTube charts.

Las Vegas quintet Escape the Fate have been in the midst of growing success, after headlining the 2007 Epitaph Tour in the spring and a meteoric stint on the Vans Warped Tour this summer. Escape the Fate hit the road with Bullet for My Valentine and Warped 2007

Fresh off an incendiary run on the 2007 Epitaph Tour, Las Vegas-based metalcore giants Escape The Fate will resume roadwork this week when it launches a six-week U.S. tour. In advance of its just confirmed 2007 Warped Tour commitment and in support of the strongly-received 2006 debut, Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, the quintet's trek with Welsh hard rockers Bullet For My Valentine gets underway on Friday (March 30th) in Tuscon, AZ.

Recorded with Michael Baskette (Lit, Puddle of Mudd) who also helmed the group' heralded debut EP, There Is No Sympathy For The Dead Dying Is Your Latest Fashion is steered with a manic, passionate desire to wake people up.
