NEW MAPS OF HELL scores highest chart position for BAD RELIGION

Iconic punk rock band Bad Religion achieved their highest charting debut ever with the release of their fourteenth studio album New Maps of Hell on July 10th. Selling an impressive 21,000 copies in the first week, the group's latest effort scored the 35th position on this week's sales chart.

"...this time out the Bad boys are breathing fire and spitting blood, raging against the machine, and rocking with both metallic fury ("Prodigal Son") and blistering punk energy ("Requiem for Dissent," "New Dark Ages"), but with enough melodic hooks and chorus harmonies to engage the faint of heart as well as the experienced moshers." - Revolver

Described as a "wellspring of menacing guitars and meaningful lyrics" (Los Angeles Times) and "bristling with electric energy and undeniable fervor," (allmusic.com) New Maps of Hell is the group's most aggressively heartfelt journey in years. Produced by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Melvins), the record boasts the band's signature blistering riffs and lush harmonies, but with a double shot of vigor and vitality. New Maps of Hell proves that after twenty-seven years as a band Bad Religion are more relevant than ever.

Bad Religion is currently headlining this summer's Van's Warped Tour.
