Attn: Unsigned Bands - Time Is Running Out!

World famous indie record label Epitaph home to Matchbook Romance, The Matches, I Am Ghost, Motion City Soundtrack and Escape The Fate, is looking for the best unsigned college act today to join its family of renowned artists. In a partnership with MTV's 24-hour college network, mtvU, this January, the Los Angeles-based record company will look to college campuses everywhere for the best in cutting edge rock music.

Through its online music destination, 'Best Music on Campus' (BMOC) (, one unsigned college act will be awarded the opportunity to launch its career with a recording and video deal with Epitaph valued at $122,000. Including full EP production costs (recording, mixing, mastering, travel costs, living arrangements and Per Diem), video production, performance and promotion costs, the deal also includes an exclusive video premiere on mtvU and, plus an opening slot on a tour date with a leading Epitaph recording artist and a performance at mtvU Spring Break 07.

"We're excited to partner with Epitaph, connecting the best of our wildly talented and eclectic audience with a label where they can flourish creatively and blow up," said Stephen Friedman, GM of mtvU. "We're building BMOC to be the ultimate online destination for college artists to launch their careers and new music fans to find their next favorite act."

The new "Best Music on Campus" online music hub follows on the overwhelming success of last year's BMOC contest, which saw more than 320 college acts submit original music. If you want the style or punk music that seems to have been lost some where. check out
Played shows with bands like Druglords of the Avenue (Johnny from the swinging utters new band) Love = Death (old members of tsunami bomb) on top of records a song for the Queers tribute CD due to come out this year.
