Fast, melodic emo-core; everything you've come to expect form Down By Law, and on their fourth Epitaph release they don't disappoint. I put this record on the turntable and it immediately exploded with the first song "Independence Day" (I meant that figuratively). Other favorites of mine include "Gruesome Gary," "Ivory Girl," and "True Music." Overall this album is a winner - thoughtful lyrics, excellent tunes, and even a touch of ska (I think, it sounded that way) on "Radio Ragga." I don't know if I'd consider this the best DBL album ever, but it sure comes close and that's reason enough to get it. If you have a record player, get the 2xLP vinyl, it has 22 songs, six more than the CD.
