Of course, this is assuming that they have even heard of Gang of Four. Just because you know everything about your favoritestbandEVAR, that doesn't mean anyone else even knows who they are, let alone concocts nefarious plots to "pinch" their exalted genius.

AWESOME, here we go...In order to "directly pinch" a title, first they would need to actually hear about it. If they have, why would you assume they "pinched" it and not that they consciously wanted to refer to that title? After all, Go4 did exactly this when they "pinched" their band name from the aforementioned Chinese government. That's what references are FOR--to refer to things the referee wants you to think about in connection with them. And you have played right into their hands!! BWAHAHA

Seriously? Even the...

They sound like a third-rate Gang of Four ripoff and stole their album title from a Gang of Four track I have a hard time believing this isn't a direct pinch.

And Indie? What are they, Neutral Milk Hotel?

"try reading art intertextually"? I don't care what they teach at the Art Institute. Good try, junior. Come back when you can put this in some context - that'll require getting into some good bands, for a start.
