A Poet's Life, in stores now!

The Rancid Punx have a streak. It's been brought to my attention that since 2000, Rancid or members of , have put out a record every year.
Here's a break down of the past six years.

In 2000, there was Rancid V. In 2001, the release of Lars' solo record, Lars Frederiksen and The Bastards. 2002, The Transplants dropped our first album. Rancid's Indestructible was put out in 2003. Lars' second solo record, The Viking, was released in 2004. Travis, Rob, and I went back into the studio to work on the Transplants' 2nd album, Haunted Cities, which dropped in 2005.

This year 2006, we're going to keep the streak going. I've been in the studio, recording songs and decided to put them out as a solo record.
This album is going to be different from the rest, mainly because we're going to give it away for free on the internet. It's our way of saying thanks to everyone, for all the support ov...

Wicked!

Best album I've heard all year. Every track is awesome. Way to go.

21st Century SKA

Brrilliant album. Roots everywhere. English Beat, Clash, Jan & Dean, No Doubt, Specials, Madness, j geils & more -- yet it doesn't sound derivative. Neither is it nastily repetitive, which is remarkable for a reggae/ska album.

Comparisons with Joe Strummer are inevitable. I'll put it this i think The Clash is a better punk band than Rancid, but Tim Armstrong is better at Ska than Strummer. Far better.

Congratulations of a First Rate Album!

Great Album!

Tim did a awesome job with this album. I hope this becomes a permanent side project for Tim and the Aggrolites.

The midus touch

I'm a 52yr old rocker & have always had an ear for what's "real". This record is excellent. From start to finish it paints lyric w/easy musicial landscape that flat out grooves. Don't tell Ian Hunter, who just released "Shrunken Heads", but this baby is a notch above. Best record for 2007. Ian & Tim, Tim & Ian - Best one-two punch this year. Thanks!
