If LCD Soundsystem's 45:33 is good Nike-sponsored running music, No Heroes is what boot-wearing non-joggers use at a punk-slapped punching bag to reach fighting weight. It's pretty amazing to think Converge has been around almost as long as some of you have been alive, especially considering this sixth full-length is packed with some of the most ferocious moments in the Boston quartet's 15-plus year history.

These 14 right hooks are buff motherfuckers, rendered in various shades of blacks and blues and reds, but it's the opening tandem that really cooks. Shoving feedback and a heavy instrumental build out of the way, neck-tat sporting vocalist Jacob Bannon skewers a two-minute sermon on the opening track, "Heartache": "We are all falling down/ We are all falling/ Every word that you pray/ Makes anot...

lame

i'm so disappointed. theyre really serving us shit and calling it a sundae on this one. i dont understand how the people in this band can still take themselves seriously. they have so much potential to write more interesting music and yet they still just write a bunch of sing alongs and mosh parts and parade it around under the guise of experimentalism. how do you like them apples? i hate those fucking apples.

wtf

First of all the track with the guest vocals is over 9 minutes long so lets not get all excited and judge it by 20 seconds. Oh and which is it either you think they are lazy because they arent trying anything new or because you don't like the new sound um yeah. This sounds way better than you fail me as far as im concerned. obtw This sounds faster heavier and more powerful I'm not sure what you listened to. I hear lots of new and old this will be a classic trust me!

hey

Um actually the recording and clean new metal sound was my problem with the last album bring me the crust!!! I'm glad they lost you as a fan you probably rock out to rob zombie!!! It really seems like they worked on the track order of this album as to you fail me wich seemed like it was thrown together. If you liked any converge release after petitioning you should be excited about this

Er, forgot something.

You must really hate Jane Doe if you don't like grainy, distorted guitars. *shrug* Even still, the sample is pretty low-quality.

There's a... erm... Lemme just say that you know what happens when water won't stop dripping out of a faucet after you turned it off? Yeeeeah. That. Any self-respecting human knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Well, someone's a bit pissy. :P You're complaining about 30-second samples of songs, and then saying that they aren't doing anything new while complaining about the new guest vocalist doing a new style of singing (in regard to Converge).

Please.
