Unsound Vol. 1
Unsound

After ten years and as many releases, the Punk-O-Rama compilation series is being retired and replaced by the new Epitaph compilation series, UNSOUND! Always the trendsetter, Epitaph was the first label to produce a low-priced punk rock compilation, and after a decade, Punk-O-Rama is the longest running comp of its kind. UNSOUND VOL. 1 picks up where Punk-O-Rama left off, continuing to highlight the best of Epitaph?s landmark bands while introducing the most stellar emerging talent in the scene. With a whole new look and an assemblage of today?s best bands, UNSOUND promises to become an instant classic.

UNSOUND plays like a favorite mixtape with a great variety of the kind of music you love from emo, hardcore and punk, to indie and underground hip-hop, with each song flowing seamlessly from one mood to the next, it?s the perfect soundtrack for the summer of 2006.

I only buyed this album because i loved the punk-o-rama series and i tought this album would be also as good as the POR's. Thanks to this cd's i discovered punk music and bands like Dropkick Murphys, Bad Religion, NOFX,...
I'm afraid this will be the first and the last Unsound album I bought.

P.S.: sorry for my bad English I'm from Belgium.

Don't be very sad

Dear Mikeyymaddness,
Don't be sad. If you have a lot of the music already you can still buy it for the awesome DVD that comes with it. It's only around 6 dollars for the CD and DVD so that's a pretty good deal I'd say. : )

Im very sadd

the reason i am sad is because there is no point of me buying this when the only good songs on here are the unreleased escape the fate song and the vanna song because all the other remotley good songs on here i have the albums so i would like it if there were more of the unreleased tracks ill probly still get it tho because ESCAPE THE FATE is one of the best bands on this label and VANNA is right up there with them

This is why punk doesn't...

You know, a lot of people complain about emo and, yes, there's a lot of things wrong with emo but, you know what, unlike hardcore punk, at least emo's had an original idea since 1985. I'm not crazy about some of the new bands, but I'd much rather see them on this label than a whole bunch of 2-bit punk bands like NoFX or Dropkick who live in the past.

Other than that, I have to say, with all the talent on this label, this could have been a MUCH better compliation. Still, some good songs.
