Hopeless Romantic
Bouncing Souls

Hopeless Romantic, the Bouncing Souls 4th full-length album, exemplifies a combination of four disparately influenced individuals coming together to make powerful pop-flavored punk rock. "We have this way of writing songs where all four of us contribute a verse... take your suffering, write it into a song and turn it into a joke - that's the Souls." The title track to the album was written this way. The band chose it as the title because they: "...romanticize everything - 80's, BMX bikes, soccer, 10 years later it doesn't seem we can do anything else so it's hopeless. We are hopeless romantics, that sums us up." Features the massively rousing punk sing-a-long soccer chant "Ole!"

Personally I really think that the Bouncing Souls are always getting better and better every year and with this album "Hopeless Romantic" it only goes to show that they know how to rock punk style. and the songs that hook you into this kick A$$ album is...well obviously Hopeless Romantic, Night on Earth, Kid, and of course OLE!

Punk Goes Nostalgic

The Bouncing Souls have an innocent charm that comes out perfectly in this mix of fast-paced, fun and sweetly reminiscent tracks, their fun, uplifting melodies refreshingly divergent from the angst-ridden approach of so many punk bands today. I can't stand Ole and You're So Rad - if I was Master of the Universe whoever decided to include them would be forced to swallow a sack full of nunchucks. Nevertheless, this is an excellent album from those soccer-loving punks who wouldn't hurt a fly

I listen to Hopeless Romantic really often and there is a lot of my favourite songs from The Bouncing Souls on this one. This would be a good choice without a doubt!!!

You can hear the songs of our new band called Rejected from Quebec City.
