About the recording:
It was produced by Brett Gurewitz and the Monster. Engineers included StarBolt, John Girdler, Spit Stix & Kevin. (StarBolt thanks Rachel Matthews.) Acting as guest producers were Flea Balzary, Anthony Kiedis, Hillel Slovick, Spit Stix, Pete Case & Norwood Fisher. All of the songs were recorded and mixed at Westbeach Recorders (LA,CA) in 1985, except "Positive Train" & "Thelonious Monster", which were recorded at Rusk Studio (LA, CA) in 1984.
About the jacket:
The painting is by Fred Brathwaite, aka Fab Five Freddy. The photos of the Monster were taken by Danny Malana. Everything else was executed by John Strauss, who served as art director.
